Alanya: (90 mins from Antalya airport). During the past decade Alanya has become the place to be for people of all ages. There are better beaches in Turkey but the Cleopatra beach which lies to the west of the resort is up to most beach lovers standard. As with any popular beach resort you'll be spoilt for choice if you are in to water sports. What makes Alanya attractive is that it can offer something for everyone. The narrow alleyways are lined with traditional shops and stalls tempting shoppers with their colourful boutiques and stalls of cheese-cloth dresses, carpets, copper and jewellery. If shopping isn't for you then enjoy a stroll along the waterfront where you'll find plenty of friendly bars, tea-houses and cafes. At nighttime you can take your pick from lively bars to discos that are situated on the edge of town or just laze around enjoying your meal from one of the many restaurants which offer an excellent range of international and traditional cuisine. Alanya is around 65 miles from Antalya airport.
